About Us

Scott began his career by owning and operating an aerial truck and a crane. Hired by local contractors, he formed Lincoln Lift and Contracting, specializing in all types of aerial work. He then became involved with the initial Downtown Lincoln Christmas Light committee and began installing the Christmas lights in 1992.

After working with local tree services, Scott attended the Nebraska Arborist Association school and became an arborist in 1993.

By 1994, he began Hofeling Enterprises, Inc., and today we provide a full-time, year-round tree service. In 2003, we changed the name to "The Tree Guys," keeping the same great service.

Mitch joined our team in 2016, bringing with him nearly 40 years' experience helping companies grow and succeed at the highest level by always striving to exceed customer expectations. Which, by no coincidence, is how The Tree Guys have built our large customer following during the past 25 years.
